advice, anyone?

well, just got back from from more baby tests. not good news, unfortunately. his heart muscle is getting more sluggish, the doctors aren't very hopeful.

any idea's on how much to tell the 12, 9, and 5 year olds? He may still survive, but he may also be born stillborn or die within a few days.

hard to know - he isn't going to die for sure yet, so how much do i tell them?

I'm looking around on the internet for advice, know any good sites?
Thanks.

  1. Hullo there. Sorry I haven't been here much lately... too much going on irl to spend time doing the things that I'd like to do.

This is so sad. I'm SO sorry for you. I can't imagine how difficult this is, and have no words based upon experience for you.

I do, however, think that you should tell you kids the truth. In an age appropriate way, that is.

you can tell them that he isn't very well, and that there is a chance that he won't be strong enough to make it to his due date. Your 12 and 9 year olds will understand that. The 5 year old won't really know what it means, but it will prepare him just in case the worse does happen.

Oh sweetie. I wish I had solid advice. This is just my gut instinct.

Much love to you and yours as you travel this difficult road.

    xoxoxo
