I'm adding a phoenix bird to the top of my self-regulation tree.
It fits because:
- the colors at the top of my tree are orange and red
- angry outbursts are like bursting into flame and overwhelm is like being consumed by fire
- anger is not the end of the world, I will survive
- Artemis and her twin, Apollo (the sun god) are connected to the Phoenix myth
- Hecate is connected as well
- the greeks connected the color purple to the phoenix, which ties into my purple level as well.
- the visual reminder of survival will help ground me while I'm in the red and orange zones
